As a Technical Sales Expert, you will serve as the face of our technical expertise. You will conduct engaging product demonstrations and deliver compelling technical presentations.
You will effectively communicate the value of our services to prospective clients, helping them understand how our solutions can address their challenges.
Building strong client relationships is key; you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through their infrastructure decisions and becoming their go-to resource for expert advice.
Responsibilities
* Act as a technical liaison for the sales team, providing in-depth product knowledge and technical consultation to potential clients.
* Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within existing client accounts based on their technical needs and future growth plans.
* Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for prospective clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our data center services.
* Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on their infrastructure needs.
* Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for acquiring new business.
* Assist in creating proposals and technical documentation for client solutions.
* Provide post-sales technical support, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful implementation of services.
Requirements
* Experience: An associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a Data Center Technician, Field Engineer, or similar role.
* Proven experience in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in the technology industry.
* Experience with hardware from major vendors (e.g., Dell, HP, Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
* Strong knowledge of data center best practices, including cabling standards (e.g., fiber, copper), racking, and power distribution.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting server hardware, networking equipment, and related components.
* Familiarity with network topologies, protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and concepts (e.g., VLANs, routing).
* Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Cisco CCNA are highly desirable.
* A passion for technology and a desire to stay current with industry trends.
* Being multilingual is an added advantage.
