Bank of Ireland is on a journey to transform how it delivers digital services, and through its DevOps Centre of Excellence has begun rolling out an engineering platform across the group. On the back of a significant investment in our capabilities, we have a new role in our team for a visionary Senior Product Owner to lead the vision and execution of our engineering platform. This role is central to delivering scalable, secure and resilient platform capabilities that empower development teams across the Bank. You will be responsible for defining and prioritising platform features that improve developer experience, reduce time to market, and ensure compliance in a highly regulated financial environment In this Role, you will Own the product roadmap for the internal engineering platform, aligning with enterprise technology and business strategy! Define and run the product backlog for platform components such as CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, developer portals, observability tooling and infrastructure automation Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security and risk teams to ensure platform services are secure and robust Drive adoption of platform capabilities across engineering teams by delivering intuitive, self-service and hight-quality solutions Translate sophisticated technical needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria Gather feedback continuously from users (developers, testers, SREs) to evolve platform features and usability Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience in product ownership or product management, preferably in enterprise technology environments Deep understanding of platform engineering concepts, include DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerisation (Kubernetes) and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as banking, financial services or insurance Ability to define and drive platform strategies across multiple teams and partners Strong analytical, communication and partner management skill Essential Qualifications 3rd level degree in a similar subject area More About The team Our IT Engineering & Delivery teams are responsible for designing, building, testing and delivering the technology that powers Bank of Ireland.
