Site Project Manager Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Project Manager to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-Construction Condition Surveys: Conduct thorough pre-construction condition surveys on all projects prior to commencement.
* Site Supervision: Provide effective site supervision to ensure key programme dates are achieved and work is carried out safely and efficiently.
* Work Scheduling: Programme and schedule work to maximize the efficiency of allocated resources and meet project deadlines.
* Design Team Collaboration: Engage with design teams to resolve problems or issues during construction and collaborate with internal design teams on design and build projects.
* Utility Coordination: Liaise with utility providers, councils, their employers' representatives, and project managers to ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved standards.
* Staff Rostering: Roster staff on sites as necessary to ensure adequate personnel are available to complete tasks.
* Cost Optimization: Seek cost-effective processes and alternatives by collaborating with the company's Quantity Surveyor (QS).
* Site Inductions: Monitor site inductions, communicate method statements, and safe systems of work (SSWP) to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors to the site.
* HSA Compliance: Ensure that all company and legislative Health, Safety, and Administration (HSA) requirements are complied with for all site workers.
* Material Management: Order and schedule delivery of materials to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Traffic Management: Design and implement traffic management plans to minimize disruptions to the public and ensure safe access to sites.
* Subcontractor Performance: Monitor, control, and report subcontractor work performance and quality to ensure it meets project requirements.
* Safety File Compilation: Compile and collate information for the safety file for all specified projects.
* Reporting: Prepare reports as required in accordance with contracts and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Administrative and Technical Skills: Proficient in administration and computer skills, including MS Project, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Windows, engineering applications, and Outlook.
2. Health and Safety Awareness: Aware of health & safety, environmental regulations, and traffic management.
3. Civil Engineering Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of civil engineering, including site plant and equipment.
4. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills to overcome challenges and make informed decisions.
5. Site Experience: Extensive site experience and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Liaison and Communication: Effective liaison with client design teams and subcontractors, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Quality Control: Skilled in quality control and able to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
8. Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction (Civil Engineering degree an advantage).
