Estimator Role Overview
A key member of the project team, Estimators play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of construction cost estimates. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and maintain controlled copies of enquiry documents
* Prepare subcontract and materials enquiries and review subsequent quotations
* Develop accurate cost estimates for permanent works in elemental and analytical formats
* Verify labour and plant resources against planned programmes
* Present commercial aspects of tenders to directors for approval
Requirements:
At least 6 years' experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, preferably in building contractor or specialist sub-contracting roles. Ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, cost management principles, and excellent interpersonal skills.
