* We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to join our project team based in Dun Laoghaire.

You will oversee key engineering tasks on-site, focusing on accurate setting out and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct accurate setting out activities to support construction operations.
* Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project programmes to ensure precise execution.
* Manage site engineering operations including surveying, levelling, and quality checks.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
* Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel and subcontractors.
* Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation such as as-built records, surveys, and QA reports.
* Assist with project planning, focusing on engineering milestones and setting out tasks.
* Monitor on-site progress and take corrective action where necessary to meet deadlines.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency in site processes.
* SUPPORT AND MENTOR JUNIOR ENGINEERS, ENCOURAGING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a site engineering role, with strong setting out skills.
* Proficient in surveying instruments and software – Total Station, GPS, CAD.
* Solid understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and building regulations.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to interpret programmes, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Full clean driving licence is essential.
Desirable:
* Membership of a professional engineering body (e.g., Engineers Ireland).
* Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects in a senior engineering capacity.
* Familiarity with BIM and digital construction technologies.
