Overview
Exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join a leading builder's providers and DIY store. This full-time role is 39 hours per week over five days. The company has over 40 years of experience as a leading provider of building, trade, plumbing, electrical and soft furnishing products in the southeast.
Responsibilities
* Compiling individual sales reports for all departments; emailing reports to managers daily.
* Completing cash reconciliation.
* Preparing reports and tills.
* Investigating any anomalies and reporting any queries to management.
* Updating the cash book.
* Confidently handling large quantities of cash.
* Responding to enquiries promptly and accurately.
* Assisting in the company stocktakes.
* Flexible to undertake other work as may be assigned by the company from time to time.
* Additional duties include cover for credit control, switchboard and general functions assigned by the financial controller.
Qualifications / Skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* A proven ability to organise time while maintaining attention to detail in a busy work environment.
* Good telephone etiquette and manner.
* High energy and the ability to work towards goals without constant supervision.
* Efficient with a proven track record in meeting deadlines.
* Persistent with task or query through to completion, including required follow-up.
