Project Manager
About this Role:
The Project Manager oversees the engineering and technical aspects of ongoing projects, driving successful outcomes through strategic planning, effective resource allocation, and proactive issue resolution.
* Define project scope and objectives to align with business goals
* Predict resource needs and manage resources efficiently
* Establish budgets based on scope and resource requirements
* Monitor project costs to meet budget expectations
* Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans
* Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, strategy, and adjustments
* Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
* Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution
* Regularly review progress and make adjustments as needed
* Analyze project performance to identify areas for improvement
* Interact with clients to understand their needs and requirements
* Evaluate project performance against set metrics and reporting on project status
* Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions when necessary
* Develop specifications for required equipment
* Create frameworks to measure project metrics and collect data
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
Key Qualifications:
* Third-level Engineering Qualification
* Electrical engineering or building services preferred
* 5-8 years of experience in project management and related roles
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
* Proven ability to solve complex problems creatively
* Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
* Experience managing projects from start to finish
* Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point
* CAD knowledge
* BIM/REVIT skills are an asset
