Job Description:

Location/Office Policy: Dawson St, Dublin 2 or 66 South Mall, Cork with Hybrid working, two days in the office.

* Do you want to build a career in a fast-moving team focused on funding developers to address the housing crisis and landlords providing commercial real estate space?
* Do you want to work in a specialist real estate unit, working alongside valuers, engineers, and economists, together with lending colleagues?

We want to hear from driven individuals who work collaboratively with colleagues and seek a rewarding career in the property market.

What is the Role:

Real Estate Finance (REF) is a specialist customer-facing department in AIB Capital Markets. We are a team of 70 people with diverse disciplines including Valuation Surveyors, data experts, economists, and a Chartered Engineer, helping us make better decisions.

We work collaboratively to address the housing situation by funding the development of A-rated homes in RoI. We work closely with the largest developers in the country, encouraging them to improve the sustainability credentials of those homes.

We fund institutional and large private investors for commercial real estate assets across Ireland and Europe through participation in large international syndicates. We assist these borrowers in developing transition plans to improve their buildings.

Our department comprises diverse professionals, and we are hiring into various roles across REF. Experience in property-related lending is advantageous.

Key accountabilities:

* Managing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, providing first-class, customized service to a broad customer base.
* Managing applications through the credit process, including preparing papers and presenting at Credit Committee.
* Monitoring covenant compliance and reviewing ongoing financial and non-financial information.
* Reviewing legal documents, technical reports, and updates from customers or advisors.
* Enhancing relationships with new and existing customers through good communication and customer focus.
* Satisfying compliance and administrative obligations diligently.

What you Will Bring:

* 4+ years' experience in a similar area, including Banking, Advisory, or Industry.
* Strong financial analysis, credit skills, and proficiency in financial modeling.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a motivated team, collaborating effectively.
* Experience in preparing credit applications and proficiency with Word and Excel, including cash flow analysis and financial modeling.
* An interest in macroeconomic environment, industry trends, and sustainability.
* Good communication and influencing skills, with an analytical and results-focused mindset.

Why Work for AIB:
