Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting with the checking of incoming deliveries and supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The position includes regular manual lifting and handling of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with the receiving and checking of incoming deliveries, ensuring correct stock levels.
* Organising and storing products in the correct locations within the warehouse.
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks and forklift) safely and responsibly.
* Handling goods and materials manually as part of daily warehouse operations.
* Collaborating with other team members to meet daily targets and ensure smooth workflow.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous warehouse or picking experience is desirable but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
* Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual lifting and handling tasks safely.
* Fluent in both spoken and written English, with good communication skills.
* Basic IT skills, including experience with email communication and stock management systems.
* A good understanding of warehouse processes and health and safety standards.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
