A new and innovative respite service is launching, designed to support adults in our day services to enjoy meaningful social lives, new experiences and greater independence.
This service will use hotels, local amenities, services and community resources to offer flexible, personcentred overnight trips, evening and weekend activities.
Grounded in the values of New Directions, this service is built on empowerment, choice and community inclusion.
We are seeking a passionate, creative and committed individual to join our team for the following role: Day Service Coordinator (Full-Time, 1 Year Contract) The Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of this new creative respite model; ensuring high-quality support that reflects each person's preferences and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daytoday operations of the service Coordinate staff schedules, hotel bookings and community activities Build strong relationships with individuals supported and community partners Ensure compliance with KPI's, New Directions and Saint John of God Kerry Services local and national policies Promote a culture of dignity, respect, autonomy and inclusion Support staff through supervision, guidance and reflective practice Ideal Candidate Must hold a 3rd Level Qualification in Allied Health/Social Care/Community Development/ Sports Recreation/Education profession.
Experience in disability services and social care and/or community support Strong organisational and leadership skills Commitment to personcentred approaches Ability to think creatively and support meaningful community participation Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays Solution focused IT proficient Full clean drivers licence for manual vehicle Why Join Us?
