Career Vision Recruiters are currently seeking to recruit a Sous Chef for a well-established 4* Hotel in Co.
Kildare.
Main areas of responsibility: Leads kitchen team in Head Chef's absence.
Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
Works with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities.
Assists Head Chef with menu creation and new dishes.
Ensuring and controlling levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food cost on an ongoing basis.
Monitor and ensuring that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
Have a good knowledge of health & safety, hygiene, HACCP and any other legislation.
Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally.
Friendly outgoing personality along with excellent personal presentation.
Passionate about producing high quality food.
