SharePoint Migration SMEUisce Éireann is looking for an experienced SharePoint Migration SME, who has successful migrated SharePoint and sites to completion.
The role will be to work with an existing project migration team to ensure an efficient and success migration.Responsibilities:To work with the Project Manager to plan migration from start to completion, with a focus on efficiency.To work with the Business Analyst to ensure a full picture of the site is understood and documented, ensuring site functions as before post migrating to SharePoint On-line (SPOL)Provide expert knowledge to the team of existing SharePoint Migration SMEs and Develops, to ensure best practises and ways of working are being achieved.Migrate sites from SharePoint & to SPOL; re-develop legacy workflows, and forms with the use of Power PlatformIdentify opportunities in the end-to-end SharePoint Migration process for improvements and / or automationUnit test and support User Acceptance testingDocument site creation to allow IT Operations to take over supporting of site.Provide clear communication to both Project and Programme Manager on status and challenges with site migrations.And other related tasks as they become required.Experience:5 years plus experience with SharePoint migration; be able to demonstrate experience of managing a / migration to SPOL with a high level of complexity (Workflows, custom forms, etc).
Proven experience with tools like Sharegate or AvePoint for migration.Deep understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, including modern sites, hubs, communication and team sites, and subsites (avoiding their usage as best practice).
Experience in adopting modern SharePoint solutions and transferring classic SharePoint approaches and technologiesExperience troubleshooting SharePoint issues, including performance and configuration challenges.Familiarity with the integration of SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and wider M environment.Desired, advanced Power Platform development experience (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation and custom business solutions.Desired: ability to use scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for administrative tasks and automation.Desired, proven track record of implementing large-scale SharePoint Online solutions, including architecture, customization, and migration.Preferably has worked in consultancy roles, managing expectations and delivering within tight deadlines.Qualifications & Skills:Advanced knowledge on SharePoint,, and SPOLAdvanced knowledge on ShareGateDesirable - Microsoft SharePoint certificationDesirable - Microsoft Purview skills / certificationAbility to present technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, utilising plain English language to address a wide variety of audiencesHigh attention to detailWell organised
