Job Description
* The Activities Coordinator is responsible for creating a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events for residents in the nursing home. The coordinator will support residents in their daily activities, ensuring their privacy, dignity, and individual preferences are respected at all times.
* Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, and facilitate group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' needs and interests, including arts and crafts, music sessions, gentle exercise, games, outings, gardening, and reminiscence activities.
*
* Consult with each resident and their family to identify social and recreational requirements according to individual likes, dislikes, abilities, and personal preferences.
*
* Maintain activity care plans for each resident and update as required.
*
* Assist residents with cognitive impairment, dementia, or limited mobility, ensuring all activities are accessible and inclusive.
*
* Encourage social connections among residents and engagement with the local community through events, trips, and partnerships.
*
* Effectively manage the allocated social activity budget and resources.
*
* Communicate with nursing and care staff regarding residents' wellbeing and participation.
*
* Ensure infection control and health & safety standards are maintained during all activities.
*
* Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
