Estimator Donegal (Head Office: Letterkenny) A leading civil and building contractor in Donegal is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team at their Letterkenny head office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to high-quality residential, commercial, and civil projects across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams with cost estimation, tender preparation, and bid submissions. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or commercial support within a civils or building environment. Duties: Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to identify quantities, materials, and resources required. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain pricing and validate cost assumptions. Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and commercial documentation. Assist project managers with budget tracking and value engineering initiatives. Monitor project costs against estimates to support financial reporting and forecasting. Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and client standards. Support audits and quality assurance processes as required. Requirements: Proven experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying, preferably in building or civils projects. Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimating software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar). Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to develop further in a commercial/estimating role. Knowledge of the local construction market and suppliers in Donegal is an advantage. Salary & Benefits: Salary: €60,000€70,000, depending on experience. Excellent benefits package.
