Trade Counter Manager - Builders Provider

Duties And Responsibilities
 * Manage the procurement, stock control, and coordination of heavy building materials.
 * Monitor stock levels and reorder materials to maintain adequate supply.
 * Liaise with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
 * Conduct regular inventory checks and resolve any stock discrepancies.
 * Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure smooth processing of invoices and payments.
 * Serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and handling complaints.
 * Process orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment.
 * Assist with preparing quotations and sales proposals, in collaboration with sales reps.
 * Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any post-sale issues.
 * Oversee a small ledger of accounts and manage billing-related tasks.
 * Maintain accurate transaction records and assist with financial reporting.
 * Support senior management with administrative tasks and report preparation.
 * Ensure the smooth coordination of material deliveries and logistics.
 * Ensure the stock control system is updated and data accuracy is maintained.
Requirements
 * Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the building materials or construction industry.
 * Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control practices.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and teams.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
 * Familiar with account management software and financial processes.
 * Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
 * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the building materials or construction supply industry, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
 * Experience with quotations, order processing, and customer communication is required.
 * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
 * Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or within a team.
