This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary hematology/oncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with ONS, NCCN, COC, and organizational standards of care.Principle ResponsibilitiesDelivery of chemotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care to hematology/oncology patients in accordance with Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards, and Allina Health Cancer Institute Policy.Complete Patient Assessment and Education.Collaborate with health care team in order to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.Administrative tasks including indirect nursing activities which promote quality patient care.Documentation of care per Allina Health Cancer Institute policies and practice.Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patientsComply with research protocols.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate's or Vocational degree in Nursing1+ years of ambulatory chemotherapy/biotherapy experience or 3+ years inpatient hospital chemotherapy/biotherapy infusion or ICU experiencePreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing1+ years Peripheral IV Insertion skills1+ years Phlebotomy skills1+ years experience EPIC EMR, including Beacon applicationLicenses/CertificationsONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Provider Card required upon completion of Allina onboarding, within 30 days of hireOncology Certified Nurse (OCN) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation must be obtained within 3 years of hire required for those hired before April 1, 2024; for those hired on/after April 1, 2024, must obtain within 30 monthsLicensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing requiredMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below:◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)Physical DemandsMedium Work*:Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequentlyPay RangePay Range: $41.98 to $58.08 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range.
