We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants for day and night duty to care for our residents in St Francis Nursing Home.
About St Francis Nursing Home:
We are a long established nursing home located in the country side of Dundalk next to Ballymacscanlon Hotel. St Francis Nursing Home was found by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Africa (FMSA) and is within the Mount Oliver Convent grounds. Our mission is to be committed to providing professional, holistic care with respect, understanding and compassion to each resident in homely surroundings.
About the Role:
The Health Care Assistant is a key member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for the care of our residents. The HCA helps, supports and directs personal care required to maximise the independence and wellbeing of our residents including looking after their physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs.
Role Responsibility:
. Assist residents with personal care needs and daily activities of living
. Maintain infection control measures and standards within the nursing
. Safeguarding our vulnerable residents from any harm
. Maintain a safe environment for residents
. Escort residents to appointments and activities outside the nursing home
. Continuous vigilance towards confidentiality, dignity, comfort, safety, infection control and whereabouts of residents
. Continuous adherence to GDPR, health & safety, fire and hygiene regulations
