BlueBuild Renewables
Project manager
Posted: 20 December
Offer description

BlueBuild Group is a market‑leading, all‑island renewables and retrofit contractor delivering Solar PV, Renewable Heating, External Wall Insulation (EWI), Cavity Wall Insulation and Loft Insulation. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a full‑time Project Manager (Residential Retrofit) to join our delivery team.

This is a hands‑on, site‑led role, suited to someone who is comfortable owning projects end‑to‑end on the ground, dealing with crews, homeowners, programme constraints and scheme requirements in parallel. The role is Dublin & Leinster-based.

Role Profile

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering residential retrofit projects from survey through to completion and handover. You will carry out the BlueBuild survey on Procore, align findings with the works order, and take full ownership of site delivery, quality, customer communication and scheme compliance.

You will work closely with the Programme Manager and the Operations Manager, forming part of a structured and practical delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Site Management

* Deliver residential retrofit projects safely, on programme and to a high standard across multiple live sites.
* Take ownership of day‑to‑day site activity, sequencing of works and issue resolution.

Surveying & Scoping

* Carry out the BlueBuild survey and ensure the scopes of work are accurate, buildable and aligned with issued works orders.
* Identify constraints, access issues or technical risks early and resolve them in collaboration with the wider team.

Quality Assurance & Inspections

* Carry out regular site inspections to ensure works meet BlueBuild standards, scheme requirements and regulatory obligations.
* Identify defects or non‑conformances early and ensure timely close‑out.

Health & Safety

* Apply and enforce site safety procedures and safe systems of work.
* Escalate risks, incidents or non‑compliances in line with company procedures.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

* Act as the primary on‑site contact for homeowners, maintaining clear, professional and pragmatic communication throughout the works.
* Liaise effectively with crews, subcontractors, internal teams and management to keep projects moving.

Scheme & Standards Compliance

* Deliver works in accordance with relevant grant schemes, defined processes, technical standards and audit requirements.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of documentation, evidence and compliance within publicly funded retrofit programmes.

Reporting & Systems

* Maintain clear, accurate and timely project records, including photographic evidence, site notes and progress updates.
* Update and manage all project activity meticulously within Procore.

Experience & Background

We are open to a range of backgrounds, provided you bring strong delivery capability and sound judgement on site.

Candidates may come from:

* A Project Manager background within residential construction or retrofit, or
* A Foreman / Site Supervisor background, with strong organisational skills, good people management and an interest in progressing into a broader, customer‑facing project management role.

Experience working within structured programmes, frameworks or grant‑funded environments is a strong advantage.

Skills & Attributes

* Strong understanding of residential construction and retrofit works.
* Comfortable managing multiple moving parts: sites, people, programme and paperwork.
* Clear communicator who deals well with homeowners and site teams alike.
* Organised, methodical and comfortable working within defined standards and schemes.
* A straight‑talking, solutions‑focused approach with a strong sense of ownership.
* Confident using job management/construction management software (experience with Procore is a strong advantage).

Education / Training

* Trade qualification or formal training in a construction-related field is ideal but not essential for candidates with relevant experience.

What We Offer

* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Company van.
* A supportive, delivery‑focused management structure.
* Clear processes, systems and standards — without unnecessary bureaucracy.
* Long‑term career progression within a growing renewables and retrofit group.
