The Administrative Officer (AO) is the main graduate recruitment grade for the Civil Service and provides successful candidates with the opportunity to progress to middle management. In DETE, AOs play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing national and EU-level policies that support enterprise, trade, innovation, employment rights, and economic development. They contribute to policy development, legislative drafting, stakeholder engagement, and strategic analysis across a wide range of divisions.
