Energy Analyst
The role of an Energy Analyst involves wholesale energy trading, business analysis, financial reporting, and decarbonisation strategies. Wholesale energy traders work with various stakeholders to negotiate prices, manage risk, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Wholesale energy trading (gas, electricity, and carbon)
2. Perform business analysis on the Energy division and recommend strategies to minimize costs
3. Maintain financial reporting processes
Other Key Activities:
* Cost Reporting: Issue daily energy cost reports, prepare month-end summaries, budgets, forecasts, and other scenarios
* Execute daily gas nominations, electricity market bids, and carbon credit transactions
* Support internal/external audits
