Laboratory Manager Position

Regularly leads client and regulatory audits; European travel to sister sites may be required. Applicants must possess extensive experience managing technical laboratory staff, ideally with a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or a related field.
* A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in managing laboratory staff is necessary, accompanied by proficiency in statistical tools like Gage R&R.
* Familiarity with polymer materials processing and packaging terminology is highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent work ethic, passion for success, flexibility, and a desire to continuously develop their knowledge and skillset while leading others. Adaptability to travel to a European location is also expected.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Oversee daily laboratory operations, manage a team of around 10 technical staff, and address personnel issues.
* Liaison and Client Management: Maintain relationships with high-profile clients and ensure strategic alignment.
* Budgeting and Planning: Set budgets and profit targets, ensuring the laboratory operates efficiently and effectively.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure laboratory regulatory compliance, including ISO 17025 accreditation testing and systems.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry or a related scientific field.
* Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years' experience managing technical laboratory staff.
