Job Description
This role is a senior financial leadership opportunity that requires the ability to manage and oversee all aspects of financial operations within the Special EU Programmes body (SEUPB).
You will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of huge investment capital, setting and reviewing annual budgets in collaboration with cross-border government departments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of accounting principles, managing programmes' cash flow to ensure financial stability and timely disbursement of funds.
They should also have experience dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including the EU Commission, auditors, Civil Service Departments, and project partners.
Requirements:
* Be part-qualified with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification financial management experience obtained in the past 5 years
* OR Have a minimum of 5 years' senior financial management experience obtained within the past 10 years
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, managing budgets cashflow and financial reporting
* Experience with financial software, and advanced skills in Excel and project databases to track, report and audit
* Experience ensuring financial activities meet regulatory standards, with a strong grasp of audit processes and risk management
* Experience in drafting reports to inform senior management decisions
* Experience of managing and leading a team
