Job Description Summary
As the UK&I Delivery & Engagement Manager, you'll provide thought leadership that translates into change initiatives that connect teams and the leadership to consumable, relevant information to support ongoing continuous improvement. As a passionate advocate of Agile ways of working, coaching and knowledge sharing, your role will be to enable and facilitate the UK&I to continuously improve their pace, quality and overall delivery, whilst keeping a focus on the scalability and sustainability of the approaches taken. Through strategic engagement and your strong understanding of coaching methods and Agile, you will directly enable and facilitate coaching at a divisional scale.
Demonstrate what excellence looks like in the role by consistently applying best practices, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Act as a role model for the team, exemplifying the values and behaviours that align with agile principles and the organisation's goals. This role will establish the foundations for effective and sustainable continuous improvement at scale across the Delivery tribe.
As our Delivery & Engagement Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Change & Engagement
•Engage with internal and external stakeholders regularly to manage expectations and gather feedback.
•Foster clear and open communication channels within the team and with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
•Ensure a communications plan is initiated at the appropriate time to inform all colleagues of any Change initiatives.
•Establish the foundations for the Change Management Framework for UKI Delivery.
•Build and develop change capability within UKI delivery.
Delivery Management
•Promote the advantages of agile maturity within the team, highlighting the benefits of increased flexibility and responsiveness.
•Provide regular training sessions and mentorship to team members to enhance their agile skills and knowledge.
•Offer ongoing coaching to teams to support their development and resolve any agile-related challenges.
•Upskill the delivery capabilities of teams through targeted skill development and knowledge sharing.
•Nurture a culture of innovation within our delivery teams and the UK&I, which facilitates the end-to-end delivery of software products and initiatives.
•Work very closely with our internal team members focused on product development and technical foundations to ensure that all areas are fully aligned on priorities, delivery plans, product roadmap and the art of the possible.
•Represent the "voice of the customer"/delivery community within our team, ensuring that feedback and sentiment are appropriately fed into our product development and prioritisation processes, as well as leading on all outreach activities to support our team's strategic goals.
Product Release Management
•Develop and enhance the release planning framework to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the organisation.
•Implement and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the product release planning process.
•Manage and streamline the inputs and outputs of the release planning process to ensure clarity and efficiency.
•Establish and track KPIs that measure the predictability of deliveries, ensuring stakeholders know what to expect and when.
•Develop a consistent go-to-market approach to maintain a reliable delivery process.
Agile Leadership
•Be the "go to" person for knowledge resources (repositories, people, processes) relating to Agile delivery, helping to promote high levels of engagement and rapid, frequent value release for individuals and teams.
•Establish, document, and refine agile processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
•Develop and execute a delivery strategy that not only enhances the team's but also the organisation's agile maturity.
•Work very closely with the Head of Continuous Improvement to identify and evolve existing organisational processes or frameworks, to help the UK&I embed a continuous improvement mentality at all levels.
• Optimise handoffs and processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products to improve throughput.
* A credible communicator across a variety of settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
* Demonstrable and deep understanding of Agile delivery methods, coupled with practical experience of the challenges deliveries team's face day to day.
* Strong understanding of how analytical tools can support continuous improvement of Agile delivery.
* Well-developed people leadership, persuasion and influencing skills.
* Experienced at creating a sense of community, inclusivity and safety across diverse customer groups.
* Comfortable with pioneering and treading new ground in pursuit of novel ways to create long lasting value for the UK&I through the evolution of knowledge management practices.
* Experienced with onboarding senior stakeholders and managing upwards effectively.
