Role: Chef Delivery DriverLocation: Westpark Innovation CampusShannon, ClareSalary: €16.50 p/hourWe are seeking an efficient and flexible Delivery Driver/ Commis Chef to join our team in Shannon, Ireland. This dynamic role combines food delivery responsibilities with entry-level kitchen duties, offering a unique opportunity to gain experience in both aspects of the food service industry.Main ResponsibilitiesSafely deliver food orders to customers in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfactionAssist in basic food preparation and cleaning tasks under the guidance of senior kitchen staffMaintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and delivery vehicleFollow food safety and hygiene protocols in all aspects of workOperate and maintain kitchen equipment as directedManage time effectively to balance delivery and kitchen responsibilitiesProvide excellent customer service both in-person and over the phoneAssist with stock rotation and inventory managementCollaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periodsAccurately process payments and handle cash transactions when required
QualificationsValid driver's licence and clean driving recordBasic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniquesFood safety certification (e.g., HACCP) or willingness to obtainExcellent time management and organisational skillsStrong customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanourAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentBasic mathematics skills for handling transactions and measurementsPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kgFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededPrevious experience in food delivery or kitchen work is preferredBasic culinary training or education is desirable but not requiredFamiliarity with the local area and strong navigational skillsAbility to work well in a team and follow instructions accurately
