Cork, is seeking Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Drivers for immediate start at their facility.Qualifications1-3 years of previous experience as an HGV DriverHolder of an equivalent category CE or C1E driving licence via mutual recognition agreementNo minimum academic requirementsExperience delivering in both urban and rural environmentsCompetent to parallel park vehicles, practice emergency stops, and supervise loading and unloading of cargoResponsibilitiesSafely operate HGVs, including loading and unloading cargoDeliver goods to specified locations, ensuring on-time arrival in good conditionConduct daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance reporting to ensure roadworthinessComply with all driving regulations, including EU and Irish transport laws (e.g., tachograph and driver’s hours regulations)Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes and logbooksCommunicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members to resolve delivery issuesFollow safety protocols for transporting hazardous materials, if applicableEnsure the security of cargo during transitApply knowledge of transport environment, mechanical components of vehicles, road traffic laws, road transport legislation, cargo types, and vehicle cargo capacityAnticipate foreseeable road problems, control vehicle performance, and interpret traffic signalsMaintain concentration for long periods, operate GPS systems, and read mapsCompensation & HoursAnnual remuneration: €36,605.00Pay rate: €18.05 per hourHours per week: 39LocationMatthew Duggan Transport Limited, Reddington, Riverstown, Glanmire, Co.
