Senior Financial Management Role

A successful Senior Financial Manager is required to lead the Accounts Department and provide strategic financial guidance.


Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
* Review and approve comprehensive financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and forecasts, to ensure timely and accurate information.
* Develop and implement effective financial management processes, including monthly closing procedures and journal entries, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
* Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all legal and company policies, and provide support to employees on HR-related matters.
* Ensure compliance with all taxation, regulatory, and audit requirements, and maintain a strong relationship with auditors and regulatory bodies.
* Collaborate with department heads to track costs, reduce waste, and support financial decision-making, to drive business growth and profitability.
* Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in line with business goals and objectives.
* Maintain strong internal controls to protect assets and prevent fraud, and provide regular financial updates to senior management.
* Liaise with external parties, including hotel ownership, as needed, and provide expert financial advice to support strategic planning.

Requirements:

* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with a minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role.
* Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance preferred, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
* Proficient in Excel and accounting software, with experience with back office hotel systems an advantage.
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to influence and support senior stakeholders, and excellent communication skills.
* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
