ADAPT Kerry Women's Refuge and Support Service is seeking Relief Domestic Violence Support Workers to support women and children affected by domestic abuse. The successful candidate will provide 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation and a range of support services.
This is an as-and-when-required contract, with relief staff required for both day and night duties on weekdays and weekends.
The role requires the ability to work independently, with on-call support available. Experience working directly with women and/or children in a care or support setting is essential, along with good decision-making and communication skills.
A third-level qualification in Social Care or a relevant field is also required, as well as knowledge and understanding of Trauma Informed Care Principles and Framework.
The hours are flexible, with day shifts from 8:30am-6:30pm and waking night shifts from 6pm-9am. Flexibility is required as these shifts may change depending on the needs of the service.
