A high-end resort seeks a skilled Pastry Chef to create premium pastries, baked goods, and desserts for its restaurants, events, and banquets.
1. Plan and execute pastry production, managing prep, baking cycles, and daily demand.
2. Maintain stringent hygiene and food safety standards in the pastry section.
3. Optimize ingredient costs, minimize waste, and source supplies for the pastry kitchen.
4. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu development, especially for special events and banquets.
5. Train and develop junior staff members.
* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel, patisserie, or high-volume kitchen environment.
* Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in pastry arts.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills to coordinate production flow.
* Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts.
* Good understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
