Description
Role Objective
* Coordinate with the client’s design team, internal teams, and external consultants to ensure design alignment across the project.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design process to produce accurate information in line with the agreed construction schedule, project budget, Client and Brand Standard specifications, LEED, BREEAM and all other stakeholders’ expectations.
* Arrange and lead regular design team meetings and workshops and ensure required actions are accurately recorded and circulated in a timely manner.
* Develop and manage a design program with the appointed consultants to meet the agreed programme dates.
* Ensure critical design decisions are made in a timely manner in accordance with delivery and procurement programmes.
* Review available project information and generate information requests where deficiencies exist.
* Review Design Team outputs when received to ensure that all design intent, specification, scope requirements, building regulations, planning and other statutory requirements will be achieved.
* Review design and offer value engineering proposals with which can benefit the project.
* Look at risk/design problems by finding solutions with wider Design Team before they materialize.
* Respond to queries raised by other parties in a timely manner.
* Coordinate and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring client sign off and approval.
* Review specialist suppliers and subcontractors design proposals to ensure that all design intent, specification, scope requirements, building regulations, planning and other statutory requirements will be achieved.
* Check specialist suppliers and subcontractors design proposals to ensure correct co-ordination between the various trade elements and resolve interface issues where required.
* Develop and manage sample schedules and first of kind benchmark schedules as required by the project requirements.
* Identify and record all additional scope requests and instructions (including verbal instructions) received from client’s representatives, design team members and other stakeholders.
* Ensure the timely distribution of drawings and information to all parties.
* Brief relevant members of construction delivery team in a timely manner to ensure full and clear understanding on project requirements and specification.
