EHS Project Engineer Job Description
The EHS Project Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance across pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Integration: Integrate EHS requirements into capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes to maintain a safe work environment.
* Pre-Startup Safety Reviews: Conduct PSSRs to identify potential hazards and ensure closure of EHS-related actions prior to commissioning new equipment or processes.
* Field Walkdowns: Perform thorough field walkdowns to identify hazards and verify engineering controls are in place to prevent accidents.
* Criticality Assessments: Support criticality assessments for equipment, utilities, and processes that impact safety and compliance.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of EHS compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS requirements into project plans and oversee the implementation of necessary controls.
To be successful in this position, you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Requirements:
* BS/MS degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in EHS project management or related field.
* Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
