The Junior Baker will play a key role in ensuring high-quality baked goods for Tram Café locations.
Responsibilities include:
* Baking & Production: Prepare cakes and pastries according to company standards, ensuring timely completion of daily orders while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
* Quality Control: Ensure all orders are completed properly, adhering to presentation and portion control guidelines.
* Inventory Management: Assist with ingredient restocking and inventory control to maintain efficient workflow.
* Recipe Development: Collaborate with the Bakery Manager to create new cake recipes for cafés and hotels, demonstrating creativity, precision, and a strong aesthetic sense.
* Packaging & Catering: Prepare cake boxes for catering orders as needed.
* Waste Monitoring: Track and record waste in the designated waste book to minimize losses.
* Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, supporting one another to complete all tasks efficiently.
* Training and Development: Assist Bakery Manager and Senior Baker in the training and development of bakery team members.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including completing necessary daily HACCP records.
* Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently ,reporting any defects immediately for repair.
* Professionalism: Maintain a clean and presentable appearance at all times.
* Reliability & Work Ethic: Demonstrate dependability, conscientiousness, and a proactive approach to work.
* Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Senior Baker or Bakery Manager.
Shift Requirements:
Must be available for early morning shifts, starting at 5:00 AM.
This role requires a team-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for baking.
Pastry experience is a strong advantage.
