You will play a key role intransforming existing functionalities into modern Java-based services, enabling improved performance, flexibility, and integration across their technology stack.As a senior member of the team, you’ll provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and influence architectural decisions to ensure high-quality delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust and secure Java-based applications.Work withSpringandSpring Bootframeworks to deliver high-performance services.Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular.Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability across distributed systems.Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architects, testers, and DevOps engineers.Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure efficient delivery.Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.Work in anAgile/Scrumenvironment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.Required Skills & Experience8+ yearsof professional software development experience.Strong expertise inJava (17+)and theSpring Framework.Strong experience building applications with Angular (17+).Solid understanding of full stack development, including frontend, backend, and API integration.Experience withRESTful APIsand microservices architecture.Good understanding of modern frontend development practices, including component-based design, state management, and responsive UI.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.This role will require visits to the client site 2-3x week per month in Dublin office.Candidate may be required to work US hours (TBC) non regular basis.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with AWS cloud services.Familiarity with containerisation technologies likeDockerorKubernetes.Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.Exposure to financial services or highly regulated environments.Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.Diversity, Inclusion & BelongingAt Zinkworks, we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
