As a fast-growing consolidator in the food sector, we have expanded rapidly and grown revenues to approximately €1.2 billion while employing 4,500 talented people across our network of 27 well-invested manufacturing facilities.The roleWorking closely with our cross functional teams, the Demand Planner role will encompass full overall responsibility for delivering the most accurate forecast possible to the business for a prescribed number of customers/categories.This is an excellent opportunity to join Valeo's Supply Chain team and work in one of the most crucial functional areas at the heart of one of Ireland's most exciting FMCG food businesses.If you are looking for a role that will grow your career and get exposure to best in class technology, this role is for youKey responsibilitiesUtilize historical sales data, market trends, and business insights to create demand forecasts.Apply statistical models and use software tools to predict future product demand.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather relevant information and validate forecasts.Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.Prepare and present regular reports on forecast accuracy and other key metrics.Participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings to discuss forecast assumptions and adjustments.Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy.Implement best practices and new methodologies to enhance demand planning efficiency.Assisting with generating, reviewing, and managing an 18-month rolling total company forecast in collaboration with the commercial team.Assisting with the implementation of best-in-class Demand planning software as part of the overall end to end planning system implementation.Key TasksChairing and driving forecast review forums internally and externally.Managing and running various demand planning reportsPresenting demand plans to various internal and external stakeholders when requiredSupporting your supply chain and cross-functional colleagues when requiredSupport the wider Supply Chain team in continuous development of supply chain processes and tools.Generating, reviewing, and executing the Valeo Foods Ireland Demand Planning strategy in conjunction with the Head of Demand Planning.Working within the demand planning team and wider supply chain team.Knowledge, Skills, And ExperienceDemand/Supply or other relevant supply chain planning experience.Experience using supply chain planning tool/tools within an ERP system.Experience using statistical forecasting functionalities an advantage.Detail oriented and highly proficient in Excel.Experience driving reviews cross-functionally within a business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills3rd level degree in a relevant discipline
