Payroll Specialist - Dublin - Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited
We are assisting a large accountancy practice with 40 members of staff in recruiting for a Payroll Specialist.
This role offers hybrid working arrangements.
About the Role:
This position has been created due to continued growth and will be responsible for managing weekly payroll in a team of 3, reporting directly to the Payroll Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process payrolls on a weekly basis for multiple units in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner.
2. Issue invoices, input data, and manage employee voluntary deductions journals for payroll accounting purposes.
3. Prepare and post weekly payroll reports to management.
4. Ensure payroll controls are reconciled on a weekly basis.
5. Reconcile payroll at the end of the year, including consolidating data when necessary.
6. Issue pay slips, handle payroll-related taxation and social welfare documents, and perform other related tasks.
7. Assist with pension and social welfare reconciliations.
8. Calculate holiday pay and statutory payments such as maternity pay, paternity pay, and sick pay.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure. They will also possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Additional qualifications or certifications such as an Accounting Technician qualification or IPASS certification are preferred.
