Job Title: Regional Business Manager
Position Type: Permanent
Reports to: Head of Sales
Location: Field Based


Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Business Manager to lead and inspire a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) across a defined geographical area. This field-based role requires strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to driving sales performance and business growth.

The successful candidate will oversee regional implementation of key business objectives, ensuring effective account management, market penetration, and collaboration across internal functions. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a high-performing, agile, and values-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

* Build a high-performing and positive team culture, aligned with company values.

* Coach and develop KAMs to successfully implement local account plans, drive market access, increase brand adoption, and build stakeholder advocacy.

* Monitor and manage individual and team performance, fostering a culture of accountability, achievement, and personal development.

* Support team members in building key competencies across sales strategy, stakeholder engagement, and account execution.

* Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, and Market Access teams to align regional and local activities with national objectives.

* Plan and deliver bespoke regional initiatives that support sales growth and respond to local healthcare environment needs.

* Implement sales and people management processes in line with company standards and compliance requirements.

* Address underperformance proactively through structured development plans.

* Track and analyse business KPIs, performance data, CRM input, and call activity to guide decision-making and support team success.

* Manage regional budgets and ensure effective control of variable costs (e.g., travel, meetings).

* Develop and execute an annual Regional Business Plan, aligned with national strategy and focused on growth, market share, and profitability.

* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders and influencers in the region.

* Contribute to wider organisational goals through the leadership of strategic and ad hoc cross-functional projects.

* Ensure all regional activities comply with relevant codes of practice, SOPs, and company policies, with a focus on professional standards and ethical conduct.


Person Specification

* Degree-qualified, preferably in a science or business-related field.

* Solid knowledge of relevant industry codes of practice.

* Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales, particularly in managing large accounts.

* Understanding of public and private healthcare systems in the UK/Ireland.

* Experience in coaching, team development, and performance management.

* Experience in working with pharmacy and other key collaborative stakeholders is desirable.
