Job Description
What will you be doing? We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Audit Assistant to assist with the completion of internal audit engagements (including audits of financial and operational processes, risk management, governance etc), grant administration and support, and accountancy tasks, as set out in planning memo, audit programmes, working papers and direction of managers, for clients primarily within the Irish public sector, including Government and not for profit agencies.This is a permanent role to be based at our Dublin Sandyford office, with an expectation of minimum 3 days per week office attendance. The interview process will consist 2 stages, with 1 of those stages being a face to face session in the Dublin office.As an Audit Assistant, your responsibilities will include among others,Undertake assigned work in accordance with audit programmes, working papers and manager/audit senior instructionDocument all work performed clearly and in agreed format, highlighting any issues identifiedEngage directly with relevant client staff in performance of engagementsMeet all required client service delivery targets and bring any client concerns to attention of manager promptlyPrioritise tasks, in consultation with managerEngage in opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across teams, divisions and offices
Qualifications
Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have,Demonstrable audit experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsHigh attention to detailDemonstrable interpersonal and client relationship skillsDesired:Experience of the public, government and/or not-for-profit sectorsExperience of one or more of internal audit / risk management / grant audit / grant administrationExperience in performance of multiple simultaneous engagements, with ability to effectively prioritise tasksQualifications & Education:Part Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIA or AAT or similarCommitment to completion of professional qualificationTrack record of strong academic performance
