Key Role Overview:
Lead the testing and release processes for factory floor MES software.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of software through planning, testing, and coordination.
Act as a bridge between internal teams and customers during testing and release phases.
Responsibilities:
Testing (Internal)
Lead and prioritize the test team's work.
Create and improve test plans and scripts based on customer requirements.
Execute manual and automated tests; analyze results and trends.
Identify and resolve issues through Root Cause Analysis.
Recommend improvements to testing processes and tools.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Manage the handover to customers for UAT.
Support customers in planning and executing thorough testing.
Verify testing includes hardware interaction (e.g., scanners, printers).
Ensure proper documentation before go-live.
Release Management
Own and manage the software release and change management process.
Coordinate with internal teams and customers on release schedules.
Ensure all release steps and responsibilities are properly followed.
Requirements:
Prior Test Manager experience (strongly preferred).
Meat industry experience (highly desirable).
Strong QA/testing background with manual and automated testing.
Experience writing test plans and estimates.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
Ability to work with global teams and diverse stakeholders.
