Financial Accountant role at CoolPlanet
Position Overview
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will be required to lead and support various areas of the finance team in relation, but not limited to:
* Month-end financial close, working closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
* Assisting in the preparation of the group mgmt accounts, ensuring they are completed on time
* Assisting with the statutory audit of the group, ensuring completed financial statements are prepared on time by external auditors/accountants
* Management and review of opex spend in line with budgets
* Support the finance function (AP, AR, Payroll) with sign-off/approvals weekly
* Reporting of Project P&Ls monthly
* Supporting with Financial Planning & Analysis reporting
* Support in the preparation of the cash flow forecast for the business
* Quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintain an attitude of continuous improvement, seeking to improve the current status quo
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualified Accountant with 1-3 years’ PQE experience
* Ideally would suit someone looking to make the first move into the industry (not essential)
* Strong IT Skills and proficient in the use of Excel
* Keen to take ownership of tasks and follow through to implementation
* Intellectually curious with a strong work ethic
* A motivated self-starter who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A strong communicator, both in writing and verbally
* Strong attention to detail
