Background:
Darta Saving Life Assurance dac, trading as Allianz Darta Saving, is authorized in Ireland to transact life assurance business in the EU under the 2015 Regulations. The Company operates on a Freedom of Services basis, primarily distributing unit-linked products through Allianz Bank Financial Advisors SpA in Italy. The actuarial function is newly established, with the structure evolving in partnership with colleagues in Italy.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Actuarial Analyst supports the Head of Actuarial Function in overseeing reserving activities outsourced to Allianz SpA. The role involves assisting with oversight tasks and contributing to maintaining high-quality actuarial processes aligned with Solvency II, IFRS17, and Central Bank expectations, while playing a key role in building a strong and collaborative cross-border actuarial team.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Actuarial Tasks:
o Assist with quarterly and annual technical provisions for Solvency II and IFRS17.
o Support actuarial modelling, assumption setting, data analysis, and reserving processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the Italian office on Group reporting and model inputs.
o Support internal stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, and Underwriting teams.
Reporting and Documentation:
o Contribute to the preparation of the Actuarial Function Report, opinions, and supporting documentation.
o Help maintain and review model documentation, controls, and process improvements.
Data Analysis and Experience Investigation:
o Assist with experience investigations and trend analysis.
o Support the ORSA process through data preparation, scenario testing, and analysis.
Project Support:
o Participate in various actuarial projects, providing analytical support and contributing to project objectives.
Skills and Experience:
Education & Qualifications:
o Actuarial qualification or progress towards qualification (e.g., passing actuarial exams).
o 3 to 5 years actuarial experience within life insurance.
Technical Skills:
o Strong technical and analytical ability with Excel and actuarial tools.
o Understanding of Solvency II and IFRS17 reporting requirements.
