This is a role for a hands‑on commercial operator who thrives on detail and execution. You'll take ownership of contracts, negotiations, variations, pricing, invoicing, collections, escalations, and compliance, the nuts and bolts that keep projects moving and protect Entegro's margin.

It's a role that matters today, stabilising the business and reducing dependency on a few key individuals, but it's also a role with a future. For the right person, this could be a stepping stone to Commercial Director level.

* Contracts and WIP knowledge institutionalised, not reliant on one person.
* Variations and claims resolved without margin leakage.
* Invoices issued and collected on time, cash predictable.
* Projects have reliable commercial support, reducing noise and risk.
* Commercial function seen as a partner, not a bottleneck.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Responsible For


Contracts & Negotiation

* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
* Manage contract variations, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
* Ensure contracts comply with regulatory and legal requirements (e.g. NEC/FIDIC/JCT or similar forms).
* Act as the escalation point on commercial issues.


Pricing & Bids

* Provide detailed costing and pricing support for bids and tenders.
* Work with project managers, engineers, and commercial leadership to assess scope and capacity.
* Flag risks early and ensure they are captured in proposals.


Commercial Support to Projects

* Day‑to‑day support to project teams (reconciliations, POs, AFPs, proformas).
* Track and report on commercial performance of projects.
* Ensure contracts are administered with pace and accuracy.


Client Interaction & Collections

* Own commercial relationships with clients at contract level.
* Ensure timely invoicing and collections, working closely with Finance.
* Protect Entegro's position while maintaining strong client partnerships.


Reporting & Risk

* Deliver weekly/monthly reports on contracts, claims and WIP.
* Maintain a commercial risk register and support internal audits.
* Provide commercial insights to support decision‑making at SLT level.


Team & Mentoring

* Provide guidance and mentoring to junior commercial or contract support staff.
* Help build a stronger, more resilient commercial function.


Skills required


What We're Looking For

* 8+ years in commercial/contracts roles in telecoms, utilities, construction, or engineering.
* Strong background in contract negotiation, claims, and dispute resolution.
* Confident with cost planning, budgeting and risk management.
* Skilled communicator able to handle client escalations and internal stakeholders.
* Organised, detail‑driven and comfortable with multiple live contracts at once.
