We're on the lookout for a brilliant Maintenance Manager to join our team at Clink i lar, DublinAccountabilities:Develop and manage a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule for all hostel assets and systemsLead all maintenance activitiesManage the maintenance team to ensure excellent maintenance standards are achievedManage all software systems pertaining to maintenance and project management of our buildingsOversee and carry out general repairs, and maintenance throughout the building, including guest rooms, social spaces, public areas, back of house, and external groundsEnsure timely response and resolution to all maintenance requests and reportsMaintain accurate records of repairs, services, and inspectionsOperational Responsibilities:Act as Clink I lar's Health and Safety Officer, ensuring full compliance with all statutory requirements and company policiesConduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments across all areas of the propertyLead on fire safety, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, and coordinating fire drillsMaintain records of health and safety inspections, incidents, and statutory checksProvide training and guidance to staff on health and safety and emergency proceduresTake ownership of the hostel's safety statement, keep it up to date, and update it with new hazards or risk assessmentsManage all ongoing maintenance projects, from initiation to closureDevelop, manage, and control the annual maintenance and capital expenditure budgetsMonitor and report on departmental expenditure against budget, identifying cost-saving opportunitiesSource, negotiate, and manage supplier and contractor agreements ensuring value for moneyEnsure projects are completed on time, communicating any barriers to successProvide financial reporting and forecasting to the General Manager on maintenance spend, project costs, and capital worksManage stock ordering, checking, and usage monitoringSupport operational excellence across properties and assist other GMsBe available for out-of-hours emergencies and occasionally work as Duty ManagerCollaborate with other maintenance managers across the groupEnsure the hostels are well-presented, fixtures and fittings are in good order, and create improvement plans as neededLead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring high-quality workManage external contractors and service providersSupport team development through training, coaching, and performance managementAbout You:Proven maintenance management experience, minimum 3 years, preferably in hospitality or facilities managementStrong knowledge of Health and Safety, Fire Safety, and statutory complianceMulti-skilled trades background (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or general maintenance)Experience managing budgets and financial reportingStrong negotiation and procurement skillsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsConfident team leadership and contractor managementHigh computer literacy for scheduling, procurement, and reportingWhat's in it for you?Join Clink's diverse team and culture that celebrates individuality.

Salary: €48,000 - €52,000 DOE plus 10% bonus, holidays, pension, and more.
