We are recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our Banqueting team.
As a Chef de Partie at Daemen University, you will be responsible for:
1. Organizing mise-en-place production and its service.
2. Delegating tasks to Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs and checking their execution.
3. Managing daily requisitions for wine, dry store, and food, and submitting them for approval.
4. Maintaining good relations and motivation among colleagues.
5. Providing and ensuring understanding of training on a one-to-one basis.
6. Checking daily food preparation for portion size, quantity, and quality according to recipes.
7. Completing daily checklists for mise-en-place and food storage.
8. Leading a small team effectively.
9. Controlling wastage.
The ideal candidate will hold a recognized qualification in culinary arts and/or have at least 3 years' experience in a high-volume operation.
