Key Responsibilities
* Food Preparation:
* Assist with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
* Prepare simple dishes, salads, and desserts as instructed.
* Support senior staff in preparing ingredients and dishes according to menu specifications.
* Cleaning and Hygiene:
* Maintain a clean and hygienic work area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
* Clean kitchen equipment, floors, and surfaces according to cleaning schedules.
* Ensure all food storage areas and equipment are sanitized and maintained.
* Follow and help enforce all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, including HACCP standards.
* Stock Management:
* Receive, unpack, and correctly store food and supplies.
* Monitor stock levels, check "sell-by" dates, and rotate stock as needed.
* Assist with inventory checks and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
* Team Collaboration and Support:
* Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
* Assist senior chefs with their tasks and follow their directions.
* Participate in training and mentoring new team members when necessary.
* Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment.

* Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks.
* Eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
* Desirable:
* Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or hospitality setting.
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
* Experience handling kitchen equipment and appliances.
