This Work Placement Experience Programme provides participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. It is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Eligibility will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Job Description
The participant will be supported to assist and learn the daily operations of a busy office environment. No previous experience is required. The participant will have the opportunity to learn receptionist skills and administrative tasks. The role involves working as part of a team.
* Maintaining and updating files on an ongoing basis
* Answering calls and greeting clients
* Assisting with office management tasks, including computer tasks and document preparation
* Supporting the team with general administrative jobs
* Assisting with payroll preparation
* Assisting with the preparation and writing of tenders
* Supporting business finances, including creating invoices, invoice tracking, expense management and bookkeeping tasks
* Assisting the company’s accountants with required financial information and documentation
* Coordinating schedules, meetings and appointments
* Assisting with the smooth running of office operations
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience is necessary. Accredited and/or sector‑recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module, which will fulfil your accredited training requirements.
