Job Title: Construction Project Lead
About the Role:
This position involves overseeing a team of engineers and technicians on a large construction project in Limerick. Key responsibilities include managing site operations, reviewing technical submissions, conducting quality reviews, and directing subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage site operations to ensure works are carried out efficiently and safely.
* Review information from drawings, specifications, etc., to foremen, operatives, subcontractors, so that they clearly understand what is required.
* Test materials as directed by your supervisor/line manager in accordance with the relevant specifications.
* Conduct quality reviews on site with regard to rebar and concrete placement.
* Review technical submissions prior to upload to design team to ensure that the correct areas of work are addressed.
* Oversee concrete testing and results.
* Direct subcontractors in some instances with regard to works to be carried out.
* Prepare technical method statements.
* Coordinate traffic management on site, being able to manage works within a busy location.
* Record all daily activities, relevant information and occurrences in your site diary.
* Pursue proactive development and training.
* Conduct work in a safe manner, correct and report those who do not.
* Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel.
* Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Engineering or a related field.
* 2+ years' experience in construction project management or working as a Site engineer in previous roles.
* Experience working with main contractors, subcontractors, surveying firms or similar preferred.
* Experience managing traffic for a large-scale site in a city centre location.
* Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
