Job Title: Business Development Manager
Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer
In partnership with our client, a leading engineering company, Glantech staffing are currently seeking applications for the position of Business Development Manager. The business development manager will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities for the company, looking after its managed services (consultancy, project management, IoT, asset tagging, etc.) with clients existing systems and processes from initial client engagement to final implementation. This role bridges business development and integration, focusing on client relationship management, contract negotiation, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
o Identify and target new business opportunities in key market sectors to expand client base and revenue streams.
o Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, nurturing leads through the sales funnel.
o Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client requirements.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that support business development efforts.
2. Integration
o Act as the primary liaison between the client and team, to ensure the seamless integration of company systems and its managed services.
o Develop and implement project integration plans that outline timelines, resource needs, and key deliverables.
o Work closely with project managers to track project milestones and ensure alignment with client expectations.
3. Relationship Management and Client Satisfaction
o Act as a key point of contact for clients during project initiation, delivery, and completion, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
o Regularly gather client feedback and implement improvements based on insights to enhance service quality.
o Maintain an open line of communication with clients to identify potential areas for repeat business and upselling opportunities.
4. Reporting and Performance Analysis
o Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development and project integration activities.
o Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings, identify best practices, and inform future projects.
o Prepare regular progress reports for senior management on pipeline status, project performance, and client satisfaction levels.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
o Work collaboratively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
o Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing insights from business development and project integration perspectives.
o Support the development and enhancement of company project management and CRM tools to improve operational efficiencies.
6. Travel and Representation
o Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities across Ireland and the UK.
o Act as an ambassador maintaining high professional standards in all engagements.
o Project Management: Ability to develop and execute project plans, monitor timelines, and manage budgets effectively.
o Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business development principles, market dynamics, and industry trends.
o Client Focus: Strong client relationship skills with a proactive approach to meeting client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
o Analytical Skills: Proficient in analysing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
o Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse teams.
o Problem-Solving: Skilled at identifying issues and developing innovative solutions in a timely manner.
o Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and presenting to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or similar preferred).
* 5+ years of experience in business development, project management, or a related field, ideally within the Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry.
* Proven track record in successful project delivery and client relationship management.
* Proficiency in project management and CRM software.
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to travel as required to client sites.
* Demonstrated adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
