The strategy for a sustainable future involves 70% of electricity generation from renewable assets by 2030, including 1.7GW of offshore wind, 3.5GW of onshore wind, 900MW of solar, and 500 MW of renewables enabling flexible generation assets.
This role represents the interests of operational sites as the asset owner, offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic business area and gain significant site and commercial experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of site safety, site operations, and control of access to renewable generation assets
* Ensure safety and environmental obligations are met for efficient operation of plant on those sites
* Manage site preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance through a comprehensive maintenance system
* Implement and maintain plant procedures, site policies, and safety programs
* Provide a timely site response capability in the event of an issue developing on a site that is remotely monitored
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' work experience in operation and maintenance of generation plant and/or wind farms
* Technical or Engineering Qualification (preferably Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent experience with plant operations or maintenance
* Assertive and excellent communication skills, with ability to work on own initiative and develop and improve procedures
* Strong safety and risk management focus, as well as strong reporting and documentation skills
Location: Based in Castlepook or Cappawhite Wind Farm, with occasional travel to other renewable sites and a head office in Dublin.
