Job Opportunity: Field Service Engineer
This position involves providing on-site field service engineering activities to customers. The role requires troubleshooting complex products and performing preventive maintenance on company equipment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Managing customer requests and determining their needs or problems, and responding accordingly.
2. Providing phone consultation and advice to customers, may need to respond to emergency situations or schedule and repair equipment at the customer's site.
3. Performing preventative maintenance on company products.
4. Establishing and managing a local maintenance service structure.
5. Inspecting and evaluating customer usage of company products.
6. Providing training to customers in the usage and maintenance of company products.
7. Providing application support on company products to customers.
8. Liaising between the customer and the applications programmer for customer requests involving changes in applications.
9. Ability to research market needs and customer applications of company products.
10. Submitting reports to management in a timely manner.
11. Supporting sales activities and establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers.
12. Providing training to other company engineers as needed.
13. Submitting various reports, such as service reports, weekly reports, and expense reports to management on time.
14. Responsible for maintaining company parts and tools and ensuring downtimes are at a minimum.
15. Effectively communicating with head office engineers regarding product applications and technical issues.
16. Maintaining high ethical standards in the workplace and complying with all company policies and procedures.
