A leading medical equipment provider is seeking an Installation Engineer to join its growing Installation Division. This is a field-based role covering hospitals, nursing homes, private residences, and live construction sites across the Republic of Ireland.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a well-established team of experienced engineers, with most days starting from home and travelling directly to site. Overnight stays will be required from time to time (fully covered by the company).
Responsibilities
Installation of medical equipment including overhead hoists, assisted baths and bed pan washers.
Working in acute hospitals, long-term care facilities, private homes and construction environments.
Managing your own stock (delivered to home or collected from designated depots).
Completing work orders via company-provided iPad.
Ensuring installations are completed efficiently with minimal disruption to patients and staff.
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
Nationwide travel required (ROI).
Qualifications
Electrically or mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent).
Required Skills
Previous hands‑on technical / installation experience.
Background in construction or site‑based environments.
Comfortable working at heights (PASMA / IPAF beneficial).
Confident using power tools and reading installation manuals.
Strong organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Customer‑focused with a professional attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Full clean driving licence required.
Garda Vetting required (company funded).
