We are currently partnering with a leading multinational healthcare manufacturer to recruit a Project Manager - Engineering for their advanced manufacturing facility in Clonmel.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join a highly innovative and regulated manufacturing environment, where you will play a key role in delivering engineering projects, driving process improvements, and supporting the development of life-changing healthcare technologies.
As Project Manager - Engineering, you will lead technical projects and process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing manufacturing performance, quality, and operational efficiency. Working within a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Purchasing teams to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation and validation.
Drive process improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Manage technical activities supporting new product introductions and existing product enhancements.
Analyse manufacturing data and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives within agreed timelines.
Support validation activities including protocol development, execution, and reporting.
Provide technical expertise and engineering guidance on complex manufacturing challenges.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Mentor and support the development of engineers and technical team members.
Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and business recommendations.
Requirements
Degree (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering or project management role.
Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and process improvement projects.
Experience supporting validation activities and quality-driven manufacturing processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
